Betrayal of Afghan Women by EU. In-Justice.

Half the women in Afghan jails are there for so called " moral crimes ". These include women deemed to be adulterers because they were raped, women who flee brutal husbands or households and women who have simply displeased in some way or another some pathetic and ridiculous Afghan male.

As NATO's departure approaches, the abandonment of Afghan women to the testosterone poisoned " values" of the Taleban is proceeding more and more rapidly. In the latest grotesque twist, the process has been given an accelerating shove by the EU. This august body commissioned a documentary to highlight the plight of women in Afghan jails. However, when the film, entitled In-Justice, was completed,the EU decided that it should not be released. The reason it gave was that it had been advised by members of the Afghan " judiciary " that showing the film would endanger the two principle imprisoned women whose cases were exposed. This not withstanding the fact that these two brave women, one made pregnant by her rapist and the other who fled after being beaten with an iron bar by her husband, had knowingly collaborated with the film makers precisely because they wanted the injustice of what they and other women suffer to be revealed.

Reading between the lines, it seems clear that in the end the shamefully timid and appeasing EU values its relationship with the perps of the Afghan " judiciary " a whole lot more than the condition of half of Afghanistan's population. How sad is that ?

Happy Birthday America.

From the low of of his groveling Cairo speech to the Muslim world where all he could say about Muslim women was that they " Had the right to wear the veil ", Obama has grown in my esteem at least in terms of what of what he says.

Adressing in May both the U.K. Commons and Lords, Obama eloquently made the point that the growing influence of countries like Brazil, China and India in no way diminuishes the importance of the role of America and its European allies. Without our might and fortitude, who else will defend and promote democracy round the globe?

It was an excellent speech. A shot in the arm as we stumble around haunted by thoughts of economic doom and self doubt.

Obama has also said some great things about the US Armed Services vets. " No one who has worn America's uniform should have to sleep on America's streets. " Lets hope he can put the money in to back his words.
In LA alone there are about 20,000 homeless men and women who risked their lives for their country.

Angela Merkel and Kurt Westergaard, Geert Wilders and the Dhimmis.

Last year on the 10th of September in Potsdam, Angela Merkel presented Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, Moh sporting a bomb turban, with the prestigious M100 SansSouci colloquium freedom of expression award.
I have always admired Merkel and thought at the time it was a just and brave gesture on her part.
At the ceremony she said " Its about whether in a Western Society he is allowed to publish his Mohammad cartoons or not. Is he allowed to do it? Yes, he is ! "
A bit late in the day, I salute Angela Merkel. Would any British leader have done the same ? Rather unlikely.

Yesterday Geert Wilders was acquitted in Holland of all charges relating to his spicy but broadly truthful depictions of Islam. The disappointed plaintiffs in this shameful Stalinist trial are now trooping off to see if they can ding him elsewhere.
Said Dhimmi lawyer Els Lucas " We plan to take the case to the European Court of Human Rights or the UN. " I just hope Els Lucas and his sad friends spend lots of time and money in revealing themselves yet more as the would be gaggers of those who denounce Islam's misogynism, intolerance and violence.
Although I feel that Geert Wilders's is way over the top when he calls for the banning of the Koran, in my opinion no book however trashy should ever be banned, I congratulate and salute him too.

UK Sex Gangs, Some Muslim Men, Non-Muslim Girls and Sensitivities.

We can be sure that if gangs of white non-Muslim men had been found to be systematically targeting young Muslim girls because they are " all whores ", the reaction of the authorities would have been rapid and robust.

As it is, we are now being told that, over the last few years in the North of England, of 56 men prosecuted for the grooming, abduction and rape of mostly white girls as young as 12, 50 were Muslims. One medically examined 13 year old appeared to have been raped more than 50 times. These racially and religiously aggravated sex crimes have been going on for some time but had been well hushed up. In May 2004, Colin Cramphorn Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police persuaded Channel Four to pull a documentary on their occurrence in the Bradford area. A colleague of his went as far as to suggest that some of the girls were involved as " a life style choice ". How delightful! The Law is quite clear; no one can have even consensual sex with a girl under the age of 16. These police officers should be prosecuted for abetting very serious crimes.

When these latest revelations were made, the Politically Korrect ( deliberate K ) were again quick to come out of the woodwork and declare that the crimes had nothing to do with culture or Islam and that an investigation should only proceed if special regard is given to "sensitivities".

For anyone with any real sensitivity it is not the sensitivities of the Muslim community that need to be protected. The only sensitivities that need to be protected are those of the young victims.
